The Great Scottish Fibre & Fiction Tour

July 4–13, 2027

Scotland is a land where stories are woven into every landscape and textiles have shaped communities for centuries.

Join Brendan Myers and me for an unforgettable ten-day journey through the heart of Scotland, where the worlds of fibre and fiction come together. From historic mills and woollen traditions to legendary authors, castles, and breathtaking scenery, this thoughtfully curated tour invites you to experience Scotland through two of its richest cultural traditions.

Whether your passion is knitting, crochet, literature, history—or simply discovering extraordinary places—you'll find yourself immersed in experiences that inspire creativity, curiosity, and connection.

Along the way we'll share wonderful conversations, discover hidden gems, enjoy relaxed stitching sessions, and build friendships with fellow travellers who appreciate slowing down and truly experiencing a destination.

Your Hosts

Miranda Holmes – Fibre

As your fibre host, I'll guide you through Scotland's remarkable textile heritage while bringing together a welcoming community of makers throughout the tour. We'll visit historic mills, meet people preserving traditional crafts, and enjoy plenty of opportunities to knit, crochet, and share our projects together.

Whether you've travelled with me before or this is your first adventure, you'll quickly feel part of the group.

Brendan Myers – Fiction

Author and philosopher Brendan Myers will introduce Scotland through its extraordinary literary traditions, folklore, history, and storytelling. His passion for ideas and engaging style bring every destination to life, adding a fascinating perspective that goes far beyond a traditional sightseeing tour.

Together, we offer a travel experience unlike any other—one that celebrates both the craft of making and the power of storytelling.
