July 4 - Basket Case: Waistcoat Stitch Colourwork Basket Studio

This beautiful crochet basket looks like knitting—but it's all crochet.

Using waistcoat stitch and colourwork techniques, you'll create a structured basket featuring a motif worked directly into the sides.

Prerequisite Skills:

Participants should be comfortable with:

• Chain, single crochet, and working in the round
• Following a crochet pattern
• Maintaining stitch counts independently

Prior experience with colourwork is helpful but not required.

We'll cover:

• Waistcoat stitch technique
• Crochet colourwork motifs
• Maintaining structure and shape
• Working with dense fabric successfully
• Finishing techniques
