Learn to Knit Level 1 (Sept Start)

Learn to Knit  – Welcome to the fabulous world of knitting in this course designed for complete beginners.  In this friendly and fun atmosphere, you will learn the basic techniques: making a slip knot; cast on; knit stitch; purl stitch; increasing and decreasing; and bind off. Participants will also learn: different yarn sizes and fibres; how to choose an appropriate yarn for a project; how to read a yarn label; and an introduction to pattern reading.

  • Wednesday Evenings 6:00pm to 8:00pm
  • Sept 10, 17. 24, Oct 1, 8
• Cost - $130 – includes evweekly handouts, yarn, 1 set of needles, and a notions kit.
• Prerequisite skills: None - Level 0 - suitable for participants with no previous experience
