Aug 22 - Cozy Luxury: Thrummed Mittens Studio

Prepare for cooler weather by learning the traditional art of thrummed mittens.

Using small pieces of roving worked directly into your knitting, you'll create an incredibly warm and cozy lining inside your mittens.

Prerequisite Skills:

Participants should be comfortable with:

• Knitting in the round
• Working small circumferences
• Following an intermediate knitting pattern
• Basic mitten construction concepts

This is an intermediate knitting workshop.

We'll cover:

• Preparing fleece thrums
• How thrumming works
• Managing bulk and tension
• Mitten construction techniques
• Finishing for comfort and durability

Includes:

• Mitten yarn
• Roving for thrums
• Pattern
• Light luncheon
• Coffee & tea

Supplies Required:

• Knitting needles for knitting in the round

Minimum enrolment: A minimum of 6 participants is required for this session to run. If the minimum enrolment is not met, the session will be cancelled and a full refund will be provided.
